I’ve chaired the CFP monthly meetings since our first one in September 2009. </font></p>

Most notable, we completed and published a full C binding for the current ISO/IEC 60559 floating-point standard. And now, for reasons of age and other interests and responsibilities, it is time for me to move on. </font></p>

Rajan has been CFP’s outstandingly effective interface with WG14 for years now, and he’s abundantly qualified for chairing the group. Rajan has been a valued and dear colleague of mine. I know CFP will be very fortunate to have him as chair.</font></p>
