Jim,

The ISO/IEC is currently balloting the adoption. The US National Body has
voted to approve.

It is almost there.

Bob

Dan,

Any more current status on an international version of IEEE 754-2008?

>>
>>Hi,
>>Does anyone know the answer to these questions -
>>The old IEEE Standard 754-1985 used to be referred to sometimes
>>as ANSI/IEEE 754-2008. It was also adopted as IEC 559.
>>
>>Do ANSI and IEC still recognize the old standard as valid?
>>If so, do they plan to move to the new one?
>>What about ISO?
>>
>>Thanks,
>>Marius Cornea
>>
>>PS: please use 'reply all' - apparently I am not on the
>>stds-754@ieee.org<mailto:stds-754@ieee.org> list anymore
>>
>>
>>
>
>	Roger,
>
>	We are still going through the process on the international
>	stuff.
>
>	And I thought I got out of hell when it was published. :-)
>
>	Take care,
