[cfp-interest 3841] Weasel Words

The following phrases appear in C2Y and mean the same thing:

 	14	unless explicitly stated otherwise
 	 5	unless explicitly specified otherwise
 	 1	unless specified otherwise
 	 7	unless otherwise specified
 	 5	unless stated otherwise
 	 1	unless otherwise stated
 	 1	unless otherwise noted

A while ago, we chose to run with the dominant clause.

It has been pointed out to me that the phrase

 	unless stated otherwise

may mean the same thing (unless it is a legal document) because explicitly
might be regarded as a weasel word (and would mean one word less).

I am not looking for extra work but I thought I would raise it.

Any Comments? - Damian
