The 5 occurrences in these 2 places should be called

 	floating-point result

which also appears in the standard for the same concept elsewhere.

You also see

 	floating values - 4 times
and
 	floating-point values - 4 times

which are the same thing. I prefer the latter.

Apart from the occurrence of "floating-point", the majority of ~650 times 
the adjective floating occurs followed by a space is for either a

 	floating literal
or
 	floating type
