After critiquing Damian's paper about rounding direction modes, I saw my recently posted draft proposal was very loose with mode terminology. Here is an update intended to fix that and a few editorial defects, and to improve the Issue 2 section of the Background. It’s too late for discussion at our meeting tomorrow.
