Please let me know if anything seems worse.    If you have an idea of
how to make the duplicate-number or skip-number bugs appear in the 
Subject lines, please give it a try and report results.

There are additional versions up to 2.1.33 (May 7) but they get harder
to build so I'd like to make the minimum perturbation that solves the
problem.
