[Cfp-interest] "snan"

David,

Here’s another item we discussed at CFP after you were off the line. 754 5.12.1 says "Conversion of an external character sequence “snan” (regardless of case) with an optional preceding sign, to a supported format should either produce a signaling NaN or else produce a quiet NaN and signal the invalid operation exception.” C and the CFP TS don’t say anything about “snan” character sequences. C doesn't handle “snan” like 754 requires. C conversion to character sequence doesn’t produce “snan” (which is not a 754 conformance issue). Off course “snan” might appear in character sequence data from somewhere else.
