Attendees from C FP:

C FP report:
Accepted without comment.

None.
C DR's of interest:
DR501: Leave in open.
C FP DR20 C changes can be pulled into this one.
*AI* CFP: Come back with a new suggested change based on CFP DR20.
CFP DR's [N2149]:

DR11: Move to closed.
DR12: Move to closed.
DR13: Leave in open.
*AI* Rajan to give an update draft to David Keaton to give the revised
version of N2213. - Done
After looking at the new draft, the committee still wants to see a new
N paper with it and has decided to leave it in open.
DR14: Move to closed.
DR15: Move to closed.
DR16: N2212: Move to review. See below in "Updates" for
discussion/resolution comments.
DR17: Incommensurate arguments for comparison macros [N 2203]: Move to
review
DR18: Missing specification of preferred quantum exponents [N 2204]:
Move to review
DR19: Updating underflow definition [N 2210]: Move to review.
DR20: Changes for obsolescing DECIMAL_DIG [N 2211]: Keep in open.
Discussion:
Blaine: Needs paragraph numbers (ex. 8, 12, 26), and missed
some sections for DECIMAL_DIG. Should be all in one document listing all
changes to DECIMAL_DIG.
David K: Keep this as a floating point DR.
Blaine: Can make the C changes in C (referencing C17, not C11),
the TS changes as a new DR (DR20).
Aaron: Can this be changes to C17?
Should we continue referencing C11 or C17? Give a position paper
on this (Blaine and Jens requesting).
My analysis:
We need to put in the paragraph numbers and ensure we hit all the
DECIMAL_DIG aspects in the C standard.
We should not change the DR's to reference C17 as they are against
the base document of C11.
DR21: printf of one-digit character string [N 2224]: Move to review.
Updates: Revised suggested TC for CFP CR 16 [N 2212]
Looks good. Will put into the CR.
New action items:
C FP group to come back with a new suggested C11 only changes based on
CFP DR20 for C DR501 and TS parts only changes in CFP DR20.
Next WG14 meeting:
October 15-18, 2018, Hosted by CERT
Pittsburgh, PA, US
